Some features such as an ergonomic workspace and an ideal location are obligatory for these hotels - but that’s that. Since many business travels are canceled due to the pandemic, city hotels should think beyond tech-savvy amenities or spacious parking lots in order to survive.
My visit was to have an enjoyable staycation. Funny really, because Park Hotel Cawang-Jakarta is a textbook example of an ideal city hotel. Established by state-owned construction company PP, this three-star hotel seems to focus more on catering business needs.
I found it amusing that the PR staff guided me directly to the meeting room floor. As a staycation-goer, I could care less about meeting room. But her unwonted eagerness kept me listening.
