3. Ear Mushroom
Most ear mushroom can be easily found on the market in its dried form.
To store it, put ear mushroom in the tightly sealed jar.
It will rehydrate and be ready to use after soaked in hot water.
The mushroom will absorb the water and swell three to five times its size.
The rehydrated mushroom, however, cannot be stored for a long time.
If you want to use it for later, soak it in iced water inside the refrigerator, but it is best used for only a couple hours after.
4. Coral Mushroom
You can find dried coral mushroom on the Asian market or Chinese herbal market.
As well as the ear mushroom, you can store dried coral mushroom in the tightly sealed jar.
However, the fresh coral mushroom has to be used immediately.
You can store it in a breathable bag such as paper bag to avoid moisture.
If you want to prolong its shelf life, you can pickle it.
Boil the pickling liquid or brine and put it in a sterilized jar.
Soak the whole mushroom in it and tightly seal it.
Store the pickle in refrigerator.
