NASI GORENG AYAM (CHICKEN FRIED RICE)

  • Suitable for breakfast or dinner, nasi goreng ayam (chicken fried rice) is a must try dish!

    Ingredients

    500 grams cold white rice
    1 chicken thigh, boiled,fried,
    2 eggs, beatenfried,
    1 tablespoon sweet soy saucefried,
    1/2 tablespoon saltfried,
    6 choy sum, cut into 3 cm pieces,fried,
    3 cabbage leaf, sliced,fried,
    1 scallion, sliced into 1/2 cm chunk,fried,
    2 tablespoons oil for sautéing,fried,
    1 1/2 tablespoons crispy shallots for garnishfried,

    ground spices blend:
    3 pieces curly red chili pepperground spices blend:
    3 cloves garlic,fried
    4 cloves shallot,fried
    2 candlenut, friedfried
    1/4 teaspoon ground pepperfried
    1 teaspoon ebi (dried shrimp),fried

    toppings:
    1 cucumber, slicedtoppings:
    1 red tomato, cut into piecestoppings:
    1 tablespoon crispy shallotstoppings:
    1 stalk celery,finely sliced
    3 fried eggs celery,finely sliced

    Cooking Steps

    • Heat the oil. Saute ground spices blend until fragrant. Set aside on the edge of the pan.
    • Add eggs. Scramble.
    • Add rice, sweet soy sauce, and salt. Stir well.
    • Add the chicken, choy sum, cabbage, and scallion. Stir well. Cook until well done.
    • Serve with toppings and crispy shallots.
