Ingredients
caramel ingredients:
50 grams sugar
50 ml hot water
ribs ingredients:
1,000 grams beef ribs,cut into 10 cm pieces
4 cloves garlic,finely chopped
1/4 onion, finely chopped
2 cm ginger,crushed
1 tablespoon tomato sauce
1 tablespoon chili sauce
2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 teaspoon light soy sauce
5 dried chili peppers,coarsely chopped
1,000 ml water
2 tablespoons cooking oilfor sautéing
Cooking Steps
- Caramel: Heat sugar on the pan until browned. Pour in hot water into the sugar. Stir it until dissolved. Remove from heat and set it aside.
- Heat vegetable oil on the pan. Saute garlic, onion, and ginger until fragrant.
- Add ribs. Stir it until the color changes.
- Add caramel, tomato sauce, chili sauce, sweet soy sauce, oyster sauce, light soy sauce, and dried chili pepper. Stir well.
- Pour in water. Stir it until the ribs are tender and the sauce is absorbed into the ribs.
- Grill ribs over charcoal fire. Glaze ribs with sauce while grilling it. Remove it from heat when it is fragrant and browned.
