    Ingredients

    1 chayote squash, cubed
    100 grams carrot,sliced into ½ cm thick coin
    100 grams chinese firm tofu,cubed
    1 celery, finely chopped
    6 cm finger root
    1 salam (indonesian bay)leaf
    2,000 ml water
    1½ tablespoons salt
    2 teaspoons sugar

    sliced spices blend:
    8 cloves shallot,finely sliced
    2 red chili peppers,sliced diagonally
    1 tomato, cut into chunks

    Cooking Steps

    1. Bring water to boil. Add finger root and salam leaf to boil. Add sliced spices blend. Cook until softened.
    2. Add in chayote squash, carrot, salt, and sugar. Cook until done.
    3. Add in celery. Stir it. Then remove it from heat.
    4. Chayote Squash Clear Soup is ready to serve.
