    Ingredients

    400 grams beef shank,cut widely
    2 potatoes, cut into 6 pieces each
    6 cloves shallot,finely sliced
    1 salam (indonesian bay)leaf
    ½ teaspoon nutmeg powder
    1 clove
    2 cm cinnamon
    3 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
    1½ teaspoon salt
    1,750 ml water
    100 grams glass noodles
    2 tablespoons cooking oilfor sautéing
    2 tablespoons crispy shallotfor garnish

    ground spices blend
    4 cloves garlic
    4 candlenuts, toasted
    1 teaspoon coriander seeds
    1/8 teaspoon cumin

    Cooking Steps

    1. Heat cooking oil on the pan. Sauté ground spices blend, shallot, and salam leaves until fragrant. Add beef. Stir until it is no longer pink.
    2. Add potato, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, sweet soy sauce, and salt. Stir until the beef is coated with spices blend.Pour in water. Cook it until all ingredients are well done.
    3. Add glass noodles. Stir well. Remove from heat.
    4. Serve Beef and Glass Noodle Soy Sauce Stew with sprinkles of crispy shallot on top of it.
