    Ingredients

    2 crabs, halved, steamed
    1,000 ml coconut milkfrom 1 coconut
    2½ teaspoons salt
    ½ teaspoon sugar
    1 lemongrass, crushed
    1 cm galangal,crushed
    1 turmeric leaf
    3 lime leaves, midribs removed
    2 tablespoons cooking oilfor sautéing

    ground spices blend
    8 cloves shallot
    3 cloves garlic
    5 large red chili peppers
    2 red bird’s eye chili peppers
    ½ cm ginger
    1 cm turmeric

    Cooking Steps

    1. Heat cooking oil on the pan. Sauté ground spices blend, lemongrass, galangal, turmeric, lime leaves, and salt. Pour in coconut milk. Cook it and keep stirring it until it is boiling.
    2. Add in crabs. Cook and stir it until the liquid is reduced and absorbed into the crabs. Remove it from heat.
    3. Gulai Kepiting (Red Crab Curry) is ready to serve.
