In this mixed fruits with spicy shrimp sauce recipe, we use seasonal tropical fruit such as starfruit, water apple, and ambarella. however, it can be substituted with any seasonal fruit. if you desire more aromatic sensation, you can also add torch ginger flower in the sauce.
250 grams starfruit,thickly sliced
150 grams red water apple,cut into smaller pieces
150 grams ambarella,cut into smaller pieces
1 teaspoon tamarind juice
100 grams grated pineapple
25 grams peanut,fried
spices blend for sauce:
1 clove garlic
½ teaspoon terasi (shrimp paste),toasted
5 red bird’s eye chili peppers
2 curly red chili peppers
125 grams brown palm sugar,finely chopped
½ teaspoon salt
1. Grind spices blend until smooth. Add peanut. Grind it into well-mixed paste.
2. Add tamarind juice and grated pineapple. Mix it well.
3. Add starfruit, water apple, and ambarella. Stir well until the fruit is coated with sauce.
4. Mixed Fruits with Spicy Shrimp Sauce is ready to serve.
