Yellow grilled chicken has beautiful yellow color and absolutely unique flavor. serve it with shrimp paste sambal and fresh vegetables to make it more delicious and fulfilling.
8 chicken legs
3 lemongrass, crushed
5 lime leaves, midribs removed
½ tablespoon salt
½ teaspoon sugar
200 ml coconut milkfrom ½ coconut
2 tablespoons cooking oilfor sauteing
ground spices blend:
8 cloves shallot
3 cloves garlic
3 cm turmeric,toasted
2 cm ginger
5 candlenuts, toasted
2 teaspoons coriander seeds
1. Heat cooking oil on the pan. Saute ground spices blend, lemongrass, and lime leaves until fragrant.
2. Add in chicken. Stir until it changes color. Pour in coconut milk. Stir it until the chicken is well done while the sauce is infused to the chicken.
3. Grill chicken until browned and fragrant. While grilling, glaze it with remaining sauce. Turn it over occasionally to make chicken grilled evenly.
4. Remove it from heat.
5. Yellow Grilled Chicken is ready to serve.
