Every SEA country has different redintion of sweet potato balls. In Malaysia, this snack is coated with sesame seeds. In Indonesia, we like to make it as simple as possible but still tastes delectable.

Yields: 30 balls
500 grams sweet potato, steamed then crushed until soft
50 grams sago flour
50ml warm water
50 grams sugar
Vegetable oil for deep frying
1. Mix sweet potato, sago flour, sugar, and warm water. Mix well.
2. Take a coin-shaped of the dough. Roll it with hands to form ball. Repeat this step until the dough runs out.
3. Heat oil on a medium heat pan. Fry balls until golden.
4. Serve it alone or with sugar powder as additional sweetener.
