Blanket fried rice can be a pleasant surprise for your little ones. kids will love the presentation and even be happier with the taste.

Blanket Fried Rice

Ingredients

400 grams cold white rice
1/2 green bell pepper, diced
150 grams smoked beef,diced
1 scallion, sliced diagonally
3 cabbage leafs, sliced
3 red chili peppers, seeded,finely sliced
1/2 teaspoon sweet soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper powder
1 tablespoon cooking oil

ground spices blend:
6 cloves shallot
3 cloves garlic
5 ebi (dried shrimp), toasted, ground
2 cm turmeric,toasted

omelette ingredients (mixed well):
5 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon salt
5 tablespoons water

Cooking Steps

  1. Sauté ground spices blend, green bell pepper, and red chili pepper until fragrant.
  2. Add in smoked beef. Stir it until the color changes.
  3. Add cabbage and scallion. Stir well.
  4. Add in white rice, sweet soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir it until all ingredients are cooked. Remove from heat.
  5. Cook a thin omelet from the omelette ingredients until half cooked. Put a portion of fried rice onto of it. Fold it into box. Let it cooked well. Remove from heat.
  6. Blanket fried rice is ready to serve.
