Oregano Fried Rice

Oregano fried rice served with fried egg and pickles is a fusion dish between an indonesian traditional cuisine and european herbs. champignon mushroom also adds a pleasing texture in this dish. you can substitute it with straw mushroom if you cannot find it, though. this dish tastes very unique yet so delicious.

Oregano Fried Rice

Ingredients

500 grams cold white rice
1/2 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic,finely chopped
100 grams chicken fillet,cubed
2 pieces smoked beef,sliced lengthwise
100 grams canned small champignon mushrooms,halved
1/2 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon chicken bouillon powder
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon coarse black pepper
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons olive oilfor sautéing

complements:
50 grams potato chips

Cooking Steps

  1. Heat cooking oil on the pan. Sauté garlic and onion until fragrant.
  2. Add chicken fillet. Stir until the color changes.
  3. Add in mushrooms and smoked beef. Sauté until softened.
  4. Add rice. Stir well. 
  5. Add salt, chicken bouillon powder, black pepper, oregano, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir it until all ingredients are well-cooked.
  6. Remove it from heat. Serve oregano fried rice with potato chips.
