Bilimbi Sour Soup
Ingredients
2 sweet corns, cut into chunks
100 grams peanuts
100 grams paddy oat
1 chayote squash, cut into chunks
10 baby corns, cut into chunks
50 grams paddy oat young leaves
3,000 ml beef stock
8 cloves shallot,finely sliced
3 cloves garlic,finely sliced
2 large red chili peppers,sliced diagonally
2 salam (indonesian bay)leaves
2 cm galangal,crushed
1/2 teaspoon terasi (shrimp paste),toasted,
2 1/2 tablespoons salt
15 bilimbis, halved
Cooking Steps
- Boil beef stock, shallot, garlic, red chili, salam leaves, and galangal until fragrant.
- Add in sweet corn, peanut, paddy oat, terasi, and salt. Cook it until boiling and fragrant.
- Add bilimbi, chayote squash, and paddy oat leaves. Cook it until all ingredients are well done. Remove it from heat.
- Bilimbi sour soup is ready to serve.
