Chayote Squash Clear Soup
Ingredients
1 chayote squash, cubed
100 grams carrot,sliced into ½ cm thick coin
100 grams chinese firm tofu,cubed
1 celery, finely chopped
6 cm finger root
1 salam (indonesian bay)leaf
2,000 ml water
1½ tablespoons salt
2 teaspoons sugar
sliced spices blend:
8 cloves shallot,finely sliced
2 red chili peppers,sliced diagonally
1 tomato, cut into chunks
Cooking Steps
- Bring water to boil. Add finger root and salam leaf to boil. Add sliced spices blend. Cook until softened.
- Add in chayote squash, carrot, salt, and sugar. Cook until done.
- Add in celery. Stir it. Then remove it from heat.
- Chayote Squash Clear Soup is ready to serve.
