Beef and Glass Noodle Soy Sauce Stew
Ingredients
400 grams beef shank,cut widely
2 potatoes, cut into 6 pieces each
6 cloves shallot,finely sliced
1 salam (indonesian bay)leaf
½ teaspoon nutmeg powder
1 clove
2 cm cinnamon
3 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
1½ teaspoon salt
1,750 ml water
100 grams glass noodles
2 tablespoons cooking oilfor sautéing
2 tablespoons crispy shallotfor garnish
ground spices blend
4 cloves garlic
4 candlenuts, toasted
1 teaspoon coriander seeds
1/8 teaspoon cumin
Cooking Steps
- Heat cooking oil on the pan. Sauté ground spices blend, shallot, and salam leaves until fragrant. Add beef. Stir until it is no longer pink.
- Add potato, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, sweet soy sauce, and salt. Stir until the beef is coated with spices blend.Pour in water. Cook it until all ingredients are well done.
- Add glass noodles. Stir well. Remove from heat.
- Serve Beef and Glass Noodle Soy Sauce Stew with sprinkles of crispy shallot on top of it.
