Beef with Sweet Soy Sauce
Ingredients
350 grams beef shank,sliced wide and thin
2 cm galangal,crushed
5 lime leaves, midribs removed, finely sliced
1 tomato, cut into small pieces
2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon white pepper powder
2 teaspoon brown sugar
500 ml water
1 tablespoon cooking oilfor sautéing
coarsely ground spices blend:
4 cloves shallot
2 cloves garlic
2 curly red chili peppers
2 lemongrasses
Cooking Steps
- Heat cooking oil on the pan. Saute coarsely ground spices blend, galangal, and lime leaves.
- Add in beef. Stir until it changes color. Add sweet soy sauce, salt, pepper, and sugar. Stir well.
- Pour in water. Cook and stir it until the sauce is thickened and reduced. Remove from heat.
- Beef with Sweet Soy Sauce is ready to serve.
