Beef Sausage and Egg Soy Sauce Stew
Ingredients
sausage ingredients:
300 grams ground beef
1 egg
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sago starch
½ onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
¾ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon white pepper powder
stew ingredients:
15 quail eggs, hard-boiled, peeled
6 cloves shallot,sliced
3 cloves garlic,sliced
2 cm ginger,crushed
4 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
½ teaspoon nutmeg powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon white pepper powder
350 ml water
1 tablespoon cooking oilfor sautéing
Cooking Steps
- Sausage: Mix ground beef, egg, onion, Worcestershire sauce, nutmeg powder, salt, sugar, and pepper. Add sago starch and all-purpose flour. Stir well.
- Stuff the mixture into freezie pop plastic bag into 6 cm firm sausage. Poke holes around the sausage with needle. Steam it over low heat for 25 minutes until cooked. Let it cool. Slice it diagonally.
- Heat cooking oil on the pan. Sauté shallot, garlic, and ginger until fragrant. Add sausage and boiled egg. Add sweet soy sauce, nutmeg powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
- Pour in water. Cook it until the solid ingredients are cooked while the liquid is reduced and absorbed into the solid ingredients. Remove from heat.
