Bakwan Tempe (Tempeh Fritters)
Ingredients
200 grams tempeh,diced
1 corn, kernelled
100 grams carrot,julienned
1 scallion, sliced
1 egg, loosely beaten
½ teaspoon coriander seeds powder
½ tablespoon salt
¼ teaspoon white pepper powder
250 grams all-purpose flour
450 ml water
cooking oil for frying
ground spices blend:
5 cloves shallot
2 cloves garlic
2 cm turmeric,toasted
Cooking Steps
1. Mix well tempeh, corn kernel, carrot, scallion, egg, coriander seeds powder, salt, white pepper powder, and ground spices blend.
2. Add in all-purpose flour. Mix it well. Pour in water. Mix it evenly until smooth.
3. Heat cooking oil until it is ready for frying. Spoon the fritter mixture into it and fry it until crispy and golden brown. Remove from heat.
4. Bakwan Tempe (Tempeh Fritters) is ready to serve.
