Bubur Jali (Barley Seeds Porridge)
Ingredients

100 grams barley seeds
2,000 ml water
1 pandan leaf, knotted
2 cm ginger,crushed
¼ teaspoon salt
200 grams finely choppedbrown palm sugar
coconut milk sauce ingredients:
500 ml coconut milkfrom 1 coconut
¼ teaspoon salt
1 pandan leaf, knotted
Cooking Steps
1. Boil the mixture of barley seeds, pandan leaf, ginger, and salt until the seeds are softened and doubled in size.
2. Add in brown palm sugar. Stir it until thickened.
3. Coconut milk sauce: bring coconut milk, salt, and pandan leaf to boil. Remove from heat.
4. Barley Seeds Porridge is ready to serve with a drench of coconut milk sauce.
