Sate Pusut (Beef Loin Satay)
Ingredients
500 grams beef loin,sliced wide against the grain with ½ cm thickness
150 ml coconut milkfrom ¼ coconut
½ teaspoon lime juice
7 lime leaves, midribs removed, finely sliced
14 bamboo skewers
ground spices blend:
10 cloves shallot
4 cloves garlic
3 curly red chili peppers
1 large red chili pepper
1 teaspoon coriander seeds
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon white pepper powder
½ teaspoon sugar
Cooking Steps
1. Mix well coconut milk, ground spices blend, and beef loin.
2. Add in lime juice and lime leaves. Let it set for 30 minutes.
3. Skewer it with bamboo skewers and grill it until well cooked. While grilling, glaze it with the remaining spices blend. Remove it from heat.
4. Sate Pusut (Beef Loin Satay) is ready to serve. (yield 14 skewers)
