(Grilled Beef Steak)

Restaurant-made beef steak is actually quite easy to be made at home. surely we can make it with simpler spices and ingredients. let’s cook this bistik daging panggang (grilled beef steak) at home with our recipe.

Grilled Beef Steak

Ingredients

400 grams beef sirloin,sliced thinly and widely
½ onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
½ tablespoon sweet soy sauce
1 tablespoon ketchup
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon white pepper powder
300 ml water

sauce ingredients:
½ onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
250 ml beef stock
3 tomatoes, boiled, peeled, finely chopped
3 tablespoons ketchup
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon white pepper powder
½ teaspoon nutmeg powder
50 ml milk
2 tablespoons margarinefor sautéing

vegetables:
150 grams string beans,cut into 6 cm sticks, boiled
250 grams potato,cut into 6x1 cm sticks, fried
200 grams carrot,cut into 6x1 sticks, boiled

Cooking Steps

1. Heat margarine on the pan. Sauté onion until fragrant. Add in beef, Worcestershire sauce, sweet soy sauce, ketchup, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
2. Pour water in gradually. Cook until the sauce is reduced and infused to the beef. Grill beef over a grilling pan until fragrant and cooked. Set aside.
3. Sauce: heat margarine on the pan. Sauté onion until fragrant. Add in flour. Stir until clumpy.
4. Pour beef stock gradually. Keep stirring it until smooth. Add in tomato, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Stir well.
5. Pour in milk. Stir until the liquid is bubbling. Remove from heat.
6. Put beef on a plate. Drench with sauce. Put vegetables on the side.
7. Bistik Daging Panggang (Grilled Beef Steak) is ready to serve.
