Bakwan Tahu (Tofu Fritters)
Ingredients
300 grams white tofu,diced
100 grams carrot,julienned
2 garlic chives, cut into 1 cm pieces
150 grams all-purpose flour
50 grams rice flour
½ teaspoon chicken bouillon powder
200 ml water
1 egg, loosely beaten
cooking oil for frying
ground spices blend:
4 cloves shallot,fried
3 cloves garlic,fried
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon white pepper powder
¼ teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon coriander seeds
Cooking Steps
1. Mix well all-purpose flour, rice flour, chicken bouillon powder, and water. Add egg. Mix it into smooth and thick batter. Add carrot, garlic chives, and white tofu. Mix them well.
2. Heat cooking oil over medium heat until it is ready for frying. Spoon the mixture into it. Fry the batter until crispy and golden brown. Remove from heat.
3. Bakwan Tahu (Tofu Fritters) is ready to serve.
