    His love for Indonesian food began when his Indonesian colleague introduced him to rendang. After that, Indonesian food piqued his interest to the point he started practicing Indonesian food recipes. “I really love food with rich herbs and spices. And Indonesia cuisine is one of them,” said Chef Martin on press conference at JW Marriot Jakarta.

    He named oxtail soup, meatballs soup, and rendang as his favorite food for one obvious reason: those dishes are rich in spices. “I like oxtail soup, meatballs soup, and rendang. I always go to Soup Station (at JW Marriot Jakarta) in the evening. I really love soup!”

    Chef Martin promised to develop a range of innovative culinary concept combining German cuisine with Indonesian. His first step is to create German cuisine in Indonesian style. “Both (German and Indonesian cuisine) are very unique but also different to each other. I’ll try my best to combine them into a perfect delicacies that elevated every guest culinary experiences,” said Chef Martin in his closing statement.
